Welcome to the Walan Optics Factory Tour.
In this video, we take you inside our professional camera lens manufacturing facility and showcase the complete production process of camera lenses, from optical glass processing to precision lens assembly.
Why we’re different
Vertically Integrated Production: We control the entire process—glass processing, optical design, housing customization, and assembly—ensuring seamless communication and uncompromised quality from source to shipment.
Rapid Design & Prototyping: Our experienced optical engineers provide fast-turnaround feasibility assessments. We deliver initial optical design drawings within 15 days of receiving your specifications.
Fast-Track to Market: From a brand-new concept to a finished, delivered product, our streamlined workflow achieves a complete turnaround in just 60 days.
Uncompromised Quality Control: By keeping everything in-house, we maintain strict oversight of tolerances and performance, guaranteeing that the final product meets your exact requirements.

Glass process
We maintain complete control over quality by manufacturing and processing our own optical glass in-house. Our state-of-the-art facilities feature fully automated production lines and advanced manufacturing processes, ensuring superior precision and consistency in every optical component
Utilizing fully automated precision molding (GMO) and CNC grinding lines, we achieve near-net shape optics with exceptional surface fidelity, eliminating the need for traditional rough grinding. Through fully automated, computer-controlled polishing and magnetorheological finishing (MRF) processes, we achieve surface roughness measured in angstroms, guaranteeing diffraction-limited performance in the final lens assembly.
Clean Rooms
A high-standard cleanroom is essential for producing high-quality optical lenses.
Its primary purpose is to prevent contamination. By strictly controlling airborne particles (dust), temperature, humidity, and static, it ensures that:
1. No Defects: Dust particles are eliminated so they don’t scratch the lens surface or appear as flaws in the final image.
2. Perfect Coatings: A pristine environment allows anti-reflective and other coatings to adhere perfectly without imperfections.
3. Consistency & Yield: It maximizes the production yield of flawless lenses, which is critical for precision applications like cameras, microscopes, and lithography systems.
